Lumen Prize 2024, to celebrate excellence in digital art

Only a few days to submit your application for one of the most prestigious international digital art prizes: The Lumen Prize. For over 14 years, in addition to offering more than $100,000 in prizes, Lumen has also given more than 600 artists opportunities for international visibility through exhibitions, commissions and events. Lumen Studios, the company that created the award, collaborates with partners around the world, supporting selected or awarded artists, promoting the innovative possibilities of technology-driven creativity, curating exhibitions and events for art spaces, cultural institutions and spaces public.

This year the prize pool is $18,000. It is divided into 5 distinct categories, namely Still Image, Moving Image, Interactive Immersive, Futures and Impact, with an entry fee for the artist of only $35.

There are 9 prizes, plus the Lumen Prize Student Award, which offers a prize of $500 to a student currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral or equivalent course. The international jury, made up of important names in the field of digital art, will then choose the 70 finalist works of art which will move on to the second phase, where the individual prizes will actually be awarded.
